This song is a benefit for Fair Fight, an organization that promotes and fights for fair elections around the country.

Singer and producer, Naomi Westwater and electronic musician C. Watson team up to release “Rise & Shine,” a dark, electronic, pop cover of the Crooked Coast single. As two Black artists, Westwater and Watson, are using “Rise & Shine” as a call to action: go out and vote, get up and protest, “better get to living while you can.”

The Crooked Coast is a rock band based on Cape Cod. The original version of “Rise & Shine” charted the iTunes’ reggae charts at #5. The song now has a new perspective with eerie vocal layers from Westwater and a slow sexy beat from Watson, this song is a modern, protest anthem.
